As of February 1, Gentle Expectations will no longer be serving the Beaumont/Port Arthur area.
As many of you know, I am a military wife. After much debate, my husband got transferred to a National Guard unit in west Houston. Because of this, we are moving to Katy, and of course my business goes where I go.
As of May 1st, I will be offering childbirth classes to Harris, Ft. Bend, and Waller counties. I will be accepting clients with due dates after June 1st in those counties as well.
I have really enjoyed helping women in the Beaumont area achieve the kind of birth they want. I know that although I am going to be in a whole new area, working with new doctors and midwives, I will still be helping women get their ideal birth... or at least, get a little closer to it.
2010 will be a year of adventure for me. It will also be a year of learning as I will be starting a while new chapter of Gentle Expectations. At least, I hope to.

Are there any other midwives or doulas in Southeast Texas that you would recommend?

ReplyDeleteThere are so few doulas in Southeast Texas, or at least the Beaumont area, and I know so little about the way they practice, that I cannot, in good faith, recommend them. All of the area midwives are out of the greater Houston area.
